By 2017, there are 7,995 enterprises producing construction materials, and today their number is 10,552. Today, the number of construction materials has now reached more than 180.

Last year, businesses produced 16 trillion 756 billion soums of construction materials, which is 122.6 percent more than in 2016. The share of total industrial production in industry was 11.6%.

Today, huge construction and creative works are being carried out throughout the country. In this process, demand for cement is rising along with all construction products. Nowadays, concrete measures are being taken to meet the existing demand, and measures are being taken to launch new capacities.

"14 cement factories produce 9.1 million tons of products a year," said Bahodir Ismoilov, head of cement, asbestos and binding materials production. "Despite these figures, the sharp increase in the construction work is a necessity to launch cement production capacities. For this purpose, 9 projects with the annual capacity of more than 3 million tons per annum will be implemented by the end of the year and 2019 with a capacity of 4.7 million tons per year.

Another project was set up in Sherabad district of Surkhandarya region on 10 October, 2016, in line with the resolution of the head of our state "On measures to implement the investment project on construction of a cement plant in Sherabad district of Surkhandarya region" dated October 10, 2016.

According to the decision, the technological part of this cement plant was manufactured by Turkey's Dal Teknik Makina Ticaret ve Sanayi A.Ş.

This project is the second plant, successfully implemented by Almalyk Mining and Metallurgy Combine, which was initially modernized in the Zafarabad district of Jizzakh region, producing about 350,000 tons of white cement and 760,000 tons of portland cement a year. 's.

The Jizzakh-based enterprise is the first successful project in the CIS to produce high quality cement with a whiteness of at least 85 units and a 500-kilogram / centimeter square.

The new project has its own advantages in the Sherabad district. Because the largest is 708 million tons of cement raw materials, including 530 million tons of limestone and 178 million tons of earth (glacial) deposits in the same area.

As a result of implementation of this investment project worth 212.8 million US dollars, it is planned to produce 1 million 500 thousand tons of high-quality portland cement a year and to provide 1200 residents with permanent jobs.

The geographical location of Surkhandarya region allows not only the domestic market, but also the neighboring countries, including the Republic of Afghanistan, to find its buyer in the domestic and foreign markets of cement products, which are essential for a wide range of construction work.

In summary, the launch of the project can be considered as one of the first results of the successful economic reforms implemented by the head of our state.
