One of the most pressing issues today is ensuring the energy efficiency of housing and other buildings. In order to increase the energy efficiency of buildings and structures, the Uzsanoatkurilishmateriallari association is carrying out a number of reforms to increase the production capacity of heat-storing basalt wool and mineral slabs. In particular, new projects are also being implemented by Basalt Wool LLC with an annual capacity of 35 thousand tons, Ozmetkombinat JSC with an annual capacity of 12 thousand tons, and Akfa Insulation LLC with an annual capacity of 30 thousand tons.

Therefore, under the leadership of the Council for the Development of the Construction Materials Industry, projects will be launched in 2023-2025 for the production of heat-preserving materials based on basalt with a total cost of $113.5 million and an annual capacity of 130 thousand tons. In particular, the Khorezm Insulation Group JV will be launched in the Khorezm region, producing 30 thousand tons of basalt mineral slabs per year. Also, large capacities will be created in Andijan and Namangan regions. The production of 30 thousand tons of basalt mineral slabs per year was launched in the Navoi region at the Petrovul joint venture with an investment of $12 million.

Currently, heat-saving building materials are supplied not only to local markets, but also to neighboring countries.
