«Kuvasaycement» Joint-Stock Company (former Kuvasay Cement Integrated Plant) was established in 1932 for the purposes of providing building materials for the construction sector and the population of the Republic.

As of today, the number of employees is 3076.

The principal object of business of Kuvasaycement is production of Portland cement M-400 D0 and with mineral additive M-400 D20, sulfate-resistant portland cement M-400 D0, M-400 D10 and M-500, oil-well portland cement, gypsum binder, lime-containing binder, waved asbestos-cement sheets, ceramic roof tiles.

For the high indicators and efforts exerted for production of world quality products as well as for the demonstrated professionalism, the Business Initiative Directorate on 17 November 1997 in Madrid had awarded the superior prize “For World Quality” to Kuvasaycement. On 25 October 1999 in Geneva, taking into account the outstanding contribution of Kuvasaycement in production of high-quality products, development of world business and professionalism, the Business Initiative Directorate had awarded the international prize “Golden Star for Quality.

The factory contains 9 main production shops:

1. Mining section intended for mining, loading and transportation of raw materials to the enterprise.
2. Crushing and sorting shop intended for processing raw materials of certain fraction, storage and feeding to the Raw shop.
3. Raw shop intended for preparation of raw slurry of certain chemical composition, according to flow chart.
4. Clinker baking shop intended for baking Portland cement clinker in rotary kilns.
5. Cement shop intended for production of various grades of cement from Portland cement clinker.
6. Plaster shop producing plaster (gypsum), firebricks and ceramic roof tiles.
7. Slate production section intended for production of asbestos-cement corrugated sheets.
8. Lime shop producing lime-containing binder for construction and finishing works, process needs of heat-power plant and for gold-production sector.
9. Kuvasaycement has 16 auxiliary shops – Aspiration shop, Transportation shop, Truck and tractor shop.

Central and Slate Mechanical Repair Shop, Repair and Construction Shop, Electric Shop, Electric Substation and Electric Laboratory, Boiler and Compressor Station and Heat-Energy Shop, Environmental shop. Central Laboratory, Instrumentation and Automation, Process Control System, Quality Control, HR department.

Used raw material: limestone of the Lyagan and Kizil Kiya fields (Kirgizstan), burnt clay, shale of the Kizil Kiya field (Kirgizstan), iron-containing cinders (Uzbekistan), gypsum stones of Shursu (Uzbekistan) and Obshir (Kirgizstan) fields, fuel ash and slag (Uzbekistan).
