In January–August of this year, Uzbekistan recorded a certain increase in the export of ceramics and wallpapers. In particular:

• Ceramic tile exports – USD 43.3 million;

• Wallpaper exports – USD 4.5 million.

These figures reflect the growing potential of local production and the stability of demand in foreign markets.

In recent years, ceramic tiles have become one of the leading segments of Uzbekistan’s construction materials exports. Today, a number of large factories (in Andijan, Fergana, Tashkent, and other regions) manufacture high-quality ceramic products using modern technologies.

The growth of ceramic tile exports to USD 43.3 million is linked to the following factors:

• expansion of domestic production capacities;

• manufacturing of import-substituting products;

• increasing demand for Uzbek ceramics in foreign markets, especially in neighboring countries.

Wallpapers represent a relatively small but stable export segment. The export volume of USD 4.5 million in the first 8 months of 2025 indicates that:

• domestic producers are finding opportunities to enter international markets;

• although export volumes remain modest, this sector has growth potential.

Wallpaper exports are mainly directed to Central Asian and CIS countries. The production of competitive products in terms of quality and design also opens up opportunities to enter new markets.

Thus, the export of ceramic tiles and wallpapers not only increases foreign currency revenues for the national economy but also strengthens the reputation of domestic producers in the global market.
