Glass crystallite is a finishing material used for wall and floor cladding. It is produced in the form of tiles sized 300 × 300 mm and 300 × 150 mm. The product is obtained by bonding granules of colorless or colored glass into a single tile. Depending on the combination of granules, tiles of various colors can be produced, giving the material high decorative qualities.

The dimensional tolerances of the tiles are ± 2 mm, and the thickness tolerance is ± 3 mm, with a standard thickness of 15 mm. The front surface is polished, the back side is rough, and the edges are neatly cut. The tiles have a heat resistance of 60°C, frost resistance of at least 80 cycles, and wear resistance not exceeding 0.1 g/cm².

Glass crystallite is mainly used as a protective and decorative coating for the interior and exterior surfaces of residential, public, and social buildings, as well as for enhancing the aesthetics of floors. Installation requires cement with a grade of at least 150, along with sand and lime.

Glass crystallite is produced by fusing a mixture of glass granules, stones, and other components until a fully monolithic structure is formed within a glass-ceramic matrix. Although the production technology is closer to ceramics, the material possesses characteristics typical of glass-like products. Its price is slightly higher compared to other finishing materials.

Currently, this new type of product is widely used in the finishing of buildings of national significance in our country.

Today, only two companies in the Republic manufacture this material:

• Lyuks Stoun LLC, with an annual capacity of 100,000 sq. m;

• CRYSTAL TECHNOLOGIES GROUP LLC, with an annual capacity of 50,000 sq. m.
