Products Worth 26 Trillion Sums Produced in the Construction Materials Industry in the Past Six Months

Today, the “Uzsanoatqurilishmateriallari” Association held a press conference for media representatives on the topic: “Analysis of the performance of the construction materials industry for the first six months of 2025”.

The event was attended by the leadership of the Association, specialists, entrepreneurs, and journalists.

According to the agenda, Deputy Chairman of the Association, Ilyos Rakhimov, presented a detailed report on the work done and future plans. Reports from department heads were also heard.

In January–June of this year, construction materials worth 26 trillion sums were produced in the industry, which is 114% compared to the same period in 2024.

Within projects totaling $2.4 billion, 16,200 new jobs are planned to be created.

A “Green Belt” roadmap has been approved for creating greenery around large enterprises classified as having high or medium environmental risks.

As of June 1, 2025, 1,160,000 ornamental and fruit trees and shrubs were planted over 989.2 hectares:

  • By enterprises of the first category – 319,200 trees and shrubs over 273.7 ha
  • By second and third category enterprises – 258,900 trees and shrubs over 97.5 ha
  • By the Association itself – 145,700 seedlings over 88.2 ha

Within investment projects, a total of $1.185 billion has been utilized, including $281 million for 101 new facilities, resulting in the creation of 2,977 new jobs.

Under the State Investment Program, the Association attracted $150.2 million in direct foreign investments and loans.

During the reporting period, the following volumes were produced:

  • 10.1 million tons of cement
  • 21 million sq.m of construction glass
  • 33 million sq.m of ceramic tiles and porcelain tiles
  • 50 million sq.m of gypsum board

The total volume of localized, high value-added products amounted to 4.4 trillion sums.

Exported products totaled $428.4 million, including:

  • Russia – $107 million
  • Kazakhstan – $94.7 million
  • Kyrgyzstan – $64.4 million
  • Tajikistan – $53.7 million
  • Azerbaijan – $9.7 million
  • Turkmenistan – $9.3 million

In the second half of the first half of the year, Uzbekistan Trade Houses, showrooms, and warehouses were opened in several cities: Baku, Dushanbe, Lahore, Kabul, Mazar-i-Sharif, Jalal-Abad, Ulaanbaatar, and Aktau, offering over 50 types of high value-added construction materials produced in Uzbekistan.

Support for local businesses and export development was ensured through participation in the following forums and exhibitions:

  • Innoprom Central Asia-2025 (April 28–30, Tashkent)
  • Russia–Islamic World Forum (May 13–18, Kazan)
  • “Made in Uzbekistan” Exhibition (June 5–7, Tbilisi)
  • International Turkic States Exhibition (June 10–12, Baku)
  • “Made in Uzbekistan” Exhibition (June 20–24, Ulaanbaatar)

To conduct marketing research of domestic and foreign markets, the international company Ernst & Young was engaged. The company is tasked with analyzing the construction materials markets in North America, Russia and the Caucasus, the Middle East, North Africa, Central Asia, and Europe, and identifying promising directions for export market diversification.

According to the Presidential Decree No. 42 from September 23, 2024, the Ministry of Energy, together with the Association and Uzsanoatqurilishbank, conducted energy audits of enterprises with high energy consumption to improve energy efficiency.

As a result, for 2025–2026, the following energy savings are projected:

  • 303.6 million kWh of electricity
  • 7.3 million cubic meters of natural gas

In 2025 alone, the following savings were already achieved:

  • 72.9 million kWh of electricity (equivalent to 70 billion sums)
  • 17.1 million cubic meters of gas (31 billion sums)
    This represents 168% and 255% of the planned targets, respectively.

During the open-dialogue press conference, media representatives asked questions of interest and received responses from relevant experts.
