$1.4 Billion Invested in the Construction Materials Sector

In January–August of this year, Uzbekistan’s construction industry produced building materials worth 34.6 trillion UZS. In addition, products worth $675.4 million were exported. Notably, during the reporting period, investments totaling $1.485 billion were utilized in the sector. Within the framework of the localization program, products worth 3.0 trillion UZS were manufactured.

According to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 31, 2025, No. 53 “On measures to implement the Investment Program of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2025,” the Association “Uzsanoatqurilishmateriallari” is set to utilize $195.7 million in foreign direct investment and loans under 20 projects within the 2025 investment program.

Based on preliminary data, in January–August of this year, $150.2 million in foreign direct investment and loans were utilized (plan: January–August 2025 – $138.5 million, implementation – 108.4%).

For reference: in January–September of this year, within the framework of the State Investment Program and projects assigned to the Association, the utilization of foreign direct investment and loans in the amount of $143.3 million was planned. By the end of January–September, the figure is expected to reach $150.2 million, which is 104.8% of the plan.

For information: the joint venture LLC “Prime Ceramics” is implementing a project to expand ceramic tile production worth $12.5 million. Within the framework of the project, $6.5 million is planned to be utilized in 2025. “Asaka Bank” has issued a loan of $6.0 million.
