Another major investment project is being implemented in the Fergana region to establish a modern industrial enterprise. The “YONG XIN CERAMICS” Limited Liability Company, established in 2023, is constructing a tile and porcelain granite production plant with a total investment of USD 74 million. This project is recognized as a result of successful investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and China.

The plant is located in the Qaqir Industrial Zone of Uchkuprik District, Fergana Region, within the Kokand Free Economic Zone (FEZ). The area offers favorable conditions for investors, including tax incentives and developed logistics infrastructure. The production facility is being built on a total area of 32 hectares.

Key Project Indicators:

  • Annual production capacity: 23 million square meters of tile products

  • Annual product value: 2.61 trillion Uzbek soums

  • Annual export potential: USD 101.8 million

  • Employment opportunities: 500 local specialists

As of now, 80% of construction work has been completed, and all necessary technological equipment has been delivered from China. The equipment was supplied by YONG SHIN, a Chinese company, and the installation is being carried out by technicians invited from China. The plant is scheduled to begin test operations in the third quarter of 2025.

The project is focused on the efficient use of local raw materials. About 90% of the required raw materials will be sourced domestically (kaolin stone from various regions of Uzbekistan), while 10% will be imported chemical additives. The facility's annual energy requirements include 150,000 cubic meters of natural gas and 108,000 kilowatts of electricity.

Expected Economic Outcomes:

  • Production of value-added goods worth UZS 313.2 billion

  • Contribution of UZS 208 billion to the state budget

  • Domestic market supply of import-substituting, high-quality, competitive products

  • Increase in foreign currency earnings through export operations

The “YONG XIN CERAMICS” project is expected to significantly contribute to the industrialization process, not only in the Fergana region but across the entire country. The attraction of foreign investment, effective use of local resources, production of export-oriented goods, and creation of new jobs are the project’s most notable advantages.
