Attention to Language – Attention to the Nation

At the “O‘zsanoatqurilishmateriallari” Association, a festive event was held dedicated to “October 21 – the Day of the Uzbek Language” and the 36th anniversary of granting the Uzbek language the status of the state language, under the motto “My Mother Tongue – My Pride.”
During the event, Acting Chairman of the Board Ilyos Rakhimov delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of ensuring an atmosphere of respect for and adherence to the law in our country, including the consistent implementation of the Law “On the State Language.” He noted that it is essential to demonstrate a high level of culture and mutual understanding and to create the necessary conditions for the Association’s employees to study the state language deeply. According to him, this contributes significantly to improving the quality of official correspondence and documentation.
Also speaking at the event was Dr. Shahlo Ahrorova, PhD in Philosophy, Associate Professor, and member of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan. She highlighted the importance of the Uzbek language’s status as a state language, the need to strengthen its role in society, to educate the younger generation in the spirit of respect for their mother tongue, and to raise its international prestige—helping it take its rightful place among the developed languages of the world. Her speech was enriched with practical examples and insights.
Dilshod Rajabov, Candidate of Philological Sciences, poet, and member of the “Ma’rifat” Enlighteners Society, spoke about the challenges overcome on the path to establishing the legal status of the Uzbek language, the wide opportunities created today for its development, and the ongoing efforts to elevate the state language to a new level. He also quoted famous Uzbek writers Erkin Vohidov and O‘tkir Hoshimov, shared inspiring life stories, and recited poems glorifying the Uzbek language.
At the conclusion of the event, Acting Chairman of the Board I. Rakhimov presented memorable gifts to the guests.
