This forum became the second business forum in the history of Uzbekistan–Iraq business cooperation. The first forum was held in December 2025 in the capital of Iraq, Baghdad. This demonstrates that dialogue between the business communities of the two countries is becoming systematic and that cooperation is moving to a new stage of practical trade, economic, and investment partnership.

The forum aimed to establish direct contacts between entrepreneurs, strengthen institutional cooperation between the business communities of the two countries, and promote mutually beneficial projects.

Within the framework of the event, issues related to the development of B2B cooperation, exchange of business missions, implementation of joint investment projects, as well as the elimination of practical barriers faced by companies when entering new markets, were discussed.

Representatives of the Iraqi side, including Iraq’s Minister of Trade Atheer Dawood Al-Ghurairi, as well as the leadership of the National Investment Commission of Iraq and the Iraqi Economic Council, expressed strong interest in expanding direct cooperation with Uzbek businesses.

As a result of the forum, memorandums of understanding were signed between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and relevant Iraqi organizations. In addition, B2B meetings were held, during which specific areas of cooperation were identified.

The Uzbekistan–Iraq Business Forum once again confirmed the high level of interest of the business communities of both countries in developing direct and mutually beneficial partnerships.
