At the initiative of the head of our state, deep reforms are being carried out in Uzbekistan not only in other sectors, but also in the field of construction materials. As a result, new production capacities are being launched, and the production of innovative, energy-efficient construction materials has been established. Consequently, construction materials under the label “Made in Uzbekistan” are strengthening their positions not only in the domestic market but also globally.
At present, one of the leading buyers of construction materials produced in Uzbekistan is our neighboring country, Turkmenistan. Each year, demand for Uzbek-made construction materials in this country continues to grow. To illustrate, in 2024 Uzbekistan exported 13 types of construction materials and raw materials worth a total of USD 20.5 million to Turkmenistan.
During January–July 2025, 12 types of construction materials and raw materials worth USD 11.7 million were exported from Uzbekistan to the neighboring state.
In addition, in 2024 Turkmenistan exported to Uzbekistan 12 types of construction materials and raw materials worth USD 8.9 million.
In January–June 2025, Uzbekistan imported 13 types of construction materials and raw materials worth USD 6.9 million from Turkmenistan.
According to the government’s instruction, the Association “O‘zsanoatqurilishmateriallari” plans to open trade houses in several countries this year to further expand exports of construction materials and provide additional support to entrepreneurs. In particular, trade centers are planned to be established in Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Israel.
For reference: More than 10,000 construction material enterprises are operating in the Republic, and in 2024 they produced construction materials worth 38 trillion soums.
Within the framework of investment programs, 542 new projects with a total value of USD 4.5 billion are planned to be implemented during 2024–2026.
