Fire Safety in Construction: International Experience and Local Solutions on One Platform

Today, at the “Uzsanoatqurilishmateriallari” Association, in cooperation with Knauf Gips Buxoro LLC, a seminar-conference dedicated to fire safety and the fire resistance of building structures was held. The event was attended by specialists from relevant ministries and agencies, university researchers, and representatives of various business organizations.

At the opening of the seminar, Ilyos Rakhimov, Chairman of the Association, delivered a speech outlining the achievements in the construction materials sector, developments in gypsum board production, and the application of scientific approaches in the industry.

It was emphasized that ensuring fire safety in the construction sector is not only a technical issue but also a matter of social importance, as it directly affects the protection of human life, health, and property.

In recent years, the construction industry in Uzbekistan has been rapidly developing. In this context, the use of modern, fire-resistant materials and systems, as well as ensuring their compliance with regulatory requirements, has become increasingly important.

During the seminar, presentations were made on the fire resistance test results of Knauf partition system constructions and their practical applications in lightweight structures. The advantages of using non-combustible (fire-resistant) local materials and the importance of testing and certification to ensure compliance with regulatory standards were also discussed.

Additionally, international experts from European countries participated, sharing their experiences and practical recommendations.
