New Opportunities and Thousands of Jobs

Uzbekistan’s construction sector is entering a new stage. The “O‘zsanoatqurilishmateriallari” Association is implementing large-scale investment projects to provide the population and businesses with energy-efficient, high-quality, and modern materials. New production capacities are mainly being established in the Surkhandarya, Tashkent, Andijan, and Jizzakh regions.

According to the data, in 2025, the construction materials sector will see the implementation of investment projects worth USD 2.4 billion, creating 16,200 new jobs.

In the first half of the year, within the framework of new investment projects, a total of USD 1.185 billion was disbursed, including 101 projects worth USD 281 million launched into operation. As a result, 2,977 new jobs were created.

Under the State Investment Program, projects assigned to the Association attracted USD 150.2 million in direct foreign investments and loans.

Notable examples include:

In Zangiota district of Tashkent region, “Jahon Invest Plast” LLC expanded the production of large construction barrels, attracting USD 15 million in foreign investment and loans.

In Termez district of Surkhandarya region, “Surxon Sendvich” LLC launched a project to produce basalt-based thermal insulation materials, attracting USD 15 million in foreign investment and loans.

To ensure timely implementation of planned targets, the “O‘zsanoatqurilishmateriallari” Association conducts on-site inspections of investment projects across the regions, while existing issues are resolved promptly in cooperation with relevant authorities.

In 2025, four projects worth USD 40 million will be implemented in the Tashkent region.

In 2025, the share of local content in 19 major investment projects worth USD 193.8 million will be 32% or USD 62.8 million. Specifically:

USD 48.4 million worth of local construction materials and USD 13.8 million worth of services will be used in construction works.

In the coming years, projects for the production of metal products, PVC products, decorative stone, concrete, reinforced concrete, and lime will use 51% locally produced equipment and machinery. This will not only improve quality and efficiency in the construction sector but also create thousands of new jobs and expand the opportunities for local manufacturers.
