In the city of Kazan, Acting Chairman of the Board of the “O‘zsanoatqurilishmateriallari” Association Ilyos Rakhimov, Russia’s Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services Irek Fayzullin, and the Head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting.
The parties discussed further development of cooperation between the two countries in the field of construction materials, strengthening trade relations, export-import indicators, and the implementation of large investment projects. In addition, the issue of expanding exports to the Republic of Tatarstan was also considered.
During the meeting, a presentation was given on the construction materials industry of Uzbekistan. Information was also provided on trade houses, showrooms, and warehouses of construction materials established in foreign countries. An agreement was reached to open and expand sales points in the Republic of Tatarstan under the label “made in Uzbekistan.”

In the coming years, exports of construction materials to the Russian Federation are expected to increase further.

In 2024, Uzbekistan exported 14 types of construction materials and raw materials to Russia worth a total of USD 202.3 million.
In January–July 2025, Uzbekistan exported 13 types of construction materials and raw materials to the neighboring country worth a total of USD 140.0 million.

In 2024, Uzbekistan imported 14 types of construction materials and raw materials from Russia worth a total of USD 222.8 million.
In January–July 2025, Uzbekistan imported 14 types of construction materials and raw materials worth a total of USD 64.4 million.
