Cement Prices Continue to Decline on the Exchange

During the past week, from December 1 to 7, a total of 423,094.0 tons of cement were put up for exchange trading, of which 112,491.0 tons — or 26.6% — were sold. The average daily sales volume amounted to 22,498.0 tons.

During the period under review, the average daily prices formed for cement decreased from 637.2 thousand soums to 599.2 thousand soums per ton. An average of 69 buyers participated in the trading sessions each day.

Across all trading platforms of the “Uzbekistan Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange” JSC, 35,102 transactions were concluded between December 1 and 7, which is 10.9% less compared to the previous week. Of these, 32.0% fell on exchange trading, while the remaining 68.0% accounted for electronic commerce systems.

As a result of electronic trading conducted within the public procurement system, almost 136.9 billion soums were saved by budgetary and corporate customers.

During the period under review, a total of 11,246 transactions were concluded through open exchange trading.
